COOPERATIVE BANKS AND THEIR IMPACT ON RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN INDIA
Author: Shashikant Tiwari

ABSTRACT:
Digital banking is one of the most important aspects of the Indian banking business
nowadays. It facilitates the day-to-day financial transactions of consumers from all around
the world. Customers were compelled to switch from traditional to online banking through
digital banking. Digital banking is simply the delivery of financial services to users via the
internet, allowing them to conduct transactions at any time. All banks have implemented
digital banking to deliver the greatest customer service to their consumers worldwide. The
financial system is an important component in the growth of a country's economy because it
contributes to capital accumulation and technological progress by increasing savings rates,
mobilizing and pooling savings, producing investment information, promoting and
facilitating foreign capital inflows, and boosting capital allocation. On the other side, this
system contributes heavily to air, water, landfill, and other sorts of pollution, harming the
environment and becoming the leading contributor to climate change. Banks' concern for
environmental sustainability has given rise to the notion of "green banking." Green banking is
supporting environmentally friendly practices and decreasing the carbon footprint of financial
activities by using internet banking instead of branch banking. This article examines the
trends and problems of digital banking in India.

ANALYZING THE INFLUENCE OF E-COMMERCE ON TRADITIONAL RETAIL MARKETING STRATEGIES
Author: Deepika Ratnakar

ABSTRACT
The rapid proliferation of e-commerce has significantly reshaped traditional retail marketing
strategies, necessitating a comprehensive evaluation of its impact on the retail landscape. This
abstract examines the dynamic interplay between e-commerce growth and traditional retail
marketing, focusing on key areas such as consumer behavior, market reach, cost structures,
and competitive strategies. E-commerce has driven a shift towards digital marketing, data
analytics, and personalized consumer experiences, enabling retailers to reach a global
audience with lower overhead costs compared to brick-and-mortar establishments.
Traditional retailers have responded by integrating online channels with their physical stores,
adopting omnichannel strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention.
Additionally, the convenience and efficiency of e-commerce have heightened consumer
expectations, prompting traditional retailers to innovate and improve in-store experiences.
This transformation has also led to significant changes in supply chain management,
inventory control, and promotional tactics. While e-commerce presents substantial
opportunities for growth, it also poses challenges such as increased competition and the need
for substantial investment in technology and logistics. Ultimately, the impact of e-commerce
on traditional retail marketing strategies is profound, driving an ongoing evolution in how
retailers connect with and serve their customers in a digital-first marketplace.

Author: Sandeep Kumar

SMART INVESTING: ROLE OF FINANCIAL LITERACY IN SHAPING INDIVIDUAL INVESTMENT CHOICES IN PUNJAB
Author: Neeti Gupta

ABSTRACT
This study explores the role of financial literacy in shaping individual investment choices
among investors in Punjab. Using a structured questionnaire, data was collected from 343
respondents across diverse demographic backgrounds. The analysis employed descriptive
statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, and correlation techniques to examine financial literacy levels,
investment behaviour, and risk preferences. Findings reveal significant variations in financial
literacy across demographic groups, with higher literacy linked to a preference for diversified
and higher-risk investments such as equities, mutual funds, and cryptocurrencies. Conversely,
lower literacy correlates with conservative investment choices and lower risk tolerance. The
study emphasizes the importance of targeted financial education programs to enhance
literacy, improve investment decisions, and support economic empowerment in the region.
These insights contribute to the development of policies and interventions tailored to the
financial needs of varied population segments in Punjab.
