Q-COMMERCE: THE EVOLUTION OF SHOPPING FROM IN-STORE PURCHASES TO INSTANT HOME DELIVERY
Author: Taunalyn Rutherford

Gone are the days when people had to plan for their weekly and monthly purchase of groceries and other necessities and visit markets, be it for groceries, vegetables, milk or medicine. With the steady growth in serving customers demands and competition, business started offering various add-on services. The growth of malls people started visiting regularly as they could buy all that they need under single roof with good ambience and that too at discounted prices. With the development of e-commerce and due to the spread of internet and severe competition, new business had come up with online shopping with home delivery facility where the need to visit shops/malls and carrying back goods was reduced. Cut throat competition resulted in companies offering delivery of goods in record time, starting within a day resulting to within 10 minutes i.e. e-commerce has led to Q-commerce (Quick Commerce). With the growth of new online start-ups, customers are being pampered by various facilities. People no longer have to plan their purchases in advance. At any given time one can order any item and get it delivered in a matter of minutes. This paper tries to find out the journey of shopping experience from physical shopping to instant home delivery i.e. Q-commerce and also the impact on the people who work in this industry.

INVESTIGATION OF DIELECTRIC AND DC CONDUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENTS IN LANTHANUM FLUORIDE THROUGH RARE EARTH ELEMENT DOPING
Author: Mridul Kirti

This paper deals with the measurement of dc conductivity and the dielectric constants of the LaF3:Nd3+,Ho3+ nanoparticles. For this, doped LaF3:Nd3+,Ho3+ nanocrystals have been successfully synthesized by microwave assisted technique with co-precipitation method. The X-ray diffraction, SEM, TEM and selected area electron diffraction SAED pattern have been used for identification of crystal structure. Cell parameters are a = b = 7.098AU and c = 7.238AU and confirms with the JCPDS standard card (32-0483) of pure LaF3 crystals. During dielectric measurements, increase in the applied frequency results in rapid fall in dielectric constant and dielectric loss confirming the normal dielectric behavior attributable to the space charge formation. The ionic conductivity may be due to fluorine ions, as well as the ions on the surface of LaF3:Nd3+, Ho3+ due to doping. By doping LaF3, the ionic conductivity of the sample is seen to be substantially enhanced.

CAREER PROGRESSION OF WOMEN IN THE INDIAN BANKING SECTOR: A QUALITATIVE EXPLORATION THROUGH IN-DEPTH INTERVIEWS
Author: Shivinder Phoolka

This study explores the lived experiences of women professionals in the Indian banking sector, focusing on the structural, social, and personal barriers that affect their career progression. Despite policy reforms and increasing female workforce participation, women remain underrepresented in senior management roles. Through a qualitative phenomenological approach, this research captures rich narrative accounts from 30 women employed across public and private sector banks in India. Data were collected via in-depth semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis method supported by ATLAS.ti software. The study identifies critical impediments such as gender-based discrimination, inadequate mentorship, rigid work structures, and exclusion from informal leadership networks. Simultaneously, it reveals enabling factors like supportive supervisors, internal training, and family encouragement. Sectoral comparisons indicate that public-sector banks exhibit higher rigidity and gender bias than private institutions. By filling a gap in existing literature—which predominantly relies on quantitative or policy-based evaluations—this study offers nuanced, context-rich insights into the intersection of gender, leadership, and institutional culture. The findings underscore the urgent need for structured mentorship, transparent promotion criteria, and gender-sensitive policy execution. This research contributes to broader discourses on workplace equality and directly supports Sustainable Development Goal 5 by advocating for inclusive leadership pathways and systemic reforms in the Indian financial services sector.
